Alternative Partnerships

Different forms. One role.

These engagements are alternative expressions of the work of Vaders – Transformation Advisory, each shaped through the role of strategic sparring partner.

My role takes different forms, depending on the context in which leaders find themselves. Sometimes it requires continuous proximity to decision‑making; sometimes focused sharpness at a crucial moment.

What remains constant is the position alongside the leader  independent, involved, and oriented towards decisions that hold.

The engagement forms below describe how that role can manifest when complexity increases and the stakes are high.

Executive Sparring (12 weeks)

Individual sharpness for leaders under pressure

An intensive one‑to‑one collaboration aimed at clarity in choices and calm in decision‑making, within the same tension field of strategy, structure and human behaviour.

This engagement is designed for board members and executives who need confidential, independent reflection on their role and decisions.

No coaching. No programme. Space to think sharply, weigh, and decide.

When this is a fit

  • High pressure and complex interests
  • Doubt or tension around strategic choices
  • Need for an equal sparring partner

My role

  • A mirror on decision‑making and leadership
  • Clarifying priorities and consequences
  • Supporting decisions that must stand

This strengthens personal clarity and governance quality.

Human‑Centred Reorganisation (12 weeks)

Significant change with clarity and governance care

Support for reorganisations in which strategic choices directly affect structure, roles and people with a focus on consistency and legitimacy, without burdening the process.
This form is suitable when restructuring is inevitable and the impact is significant.
I guide reorganisations from a strategic and governance perspective with attention to structure, decision‑making and human consequences, without adding unnecessary weight to the process.

When this is a fit

  • Reorganisation or redesign of the organisation
  • Merging, scaling down, or repositioning
  • Board‑level tension around impact and support

My role

  • Strategic diagnosis and clarification of key decisions
  • Design of structure, roles and governance
  • Sparring with the board and leadership on decision moments
The aim is not “change”, but responsible decision‑making and consistent execution.

Organisation Design Sprint (4 weeks)

From complexity to a clear design

A short, intensive intervention to arrive at a clear organisational and governance design that works in practice. Sometimes no long trajectory is needed only fast, precise clarity.

Sometimes a long engagement is not needed, but sharp, concentrated clarity.
The Organisation Design Sprint is designed to create clarity in a short timeframe on structure, roles and decision‑making as a basis for subsequent choices.

When this is a fit

  • Uncertainty around set‑up and responsibilities
  • Preparation for growth, contraction or restructuring
  • Need for an agreed design framework

My role

  • Analysis of context and design principles
  • Development of scenarios and decision options
  • Delivery of a clear, board‑supported design

Not a blueprint a decision‑ready framework.

How these forms connect

These are not products, but different ways of doing the same work tailored to phase and context.

Always:

  • I work discreetly and as an equal
  • I bring calm and sharpness to decision‑making
  • I am involved when decisions truly matter

Whatever the form, my role remains the same:
creating clarity in complexity and helping leaders make decisions that hold.
